Exfoliate naturally – with beach sand
Recently I strolled along the beach in Miami when I noticed a woman rubbing sand all over her legs. I was intrigued so I asked her if she was exfoliating. She said she was indeed all the while doing some beach-yoga-ish stretching. This was my cue to ask more questions. Veronica, who is originally from Italy but currently living in Chicago, revealed more of her tricks to me in how to use the beach to make yourself more beautiful. She recommended walking in the water at thigh-height against cellulite as well as swimming for overall fiitness. On top of that, a bit of a tan may give your skin a healthy, radiant glow.
The idea of exfoliating with beach sand is great and can help eliminate dead skin cells and improve your skin’s appearance and giving it a nice and soft feeling, without using any chemical cremes or scrubs. Exfoliation is recommended all year around, ideally twice a week to keep your skin in an optimal condition and help fighting the signs of aging. Regular exfoliation helps opening your skin’s pores, making it breathe better and feeling soft and smooth.
If you have particularly dry skin, exfoliating with beach sand is less recommended due to the sea salt possibly enhancing the dryness of your skin. For best results, do the sand exfoliation before leaving the beach and then use moisturizer or lotion after taking a shower. This will give it a nice glow and your all ready to show off your best beach body.
