Manicured nails for spring
A must for all women is manicured nails, or at least that’s what they say. Especially now, when we’re just starting to experience the first sunny days of spring, something that makes us all feel like painting our nails in dazzling bright colours once again.
Before you decide on which of the new trendy colours you want, you should make sure that you have a good basis for nail polish – this involves giving yourself a bit of a manicure:
Clean the nails, making sure that you remove the cuticle and then file the nail to the perfect length.
The perfect length is highly individual and every person has a different idea of what the perfect length is. As a basic rule, avoid the “claw” factor and keep dark and striking nails a bit shorter.
Only file in one direction – the nails won’t break so easily if you do this.
The most important basis for nail polish is a base coat which protects against discoloration.
This spring, the trend is for mint green colours. If you keep your eyes open, you’ll see a lot of this colour on the shelves. Just like every spring, pastel colours make a statement – and mint green pastel will make a particularly powerful statement. Welcome to this brightly coloured world!
Now paint the top coat on your nails and you’ll have finished your spring manicure!
SOS tip for broken nails:
If one of your nails breaks and you don’t want to cut it immediately or you’re out and about, it’s best to stick the broken nail together with a plaster. Cut a section of plaster to fit and fix the nail that way.
Invisible Protection can be good if you want to have freshly painted nails but your cuticles are inflamed. The plaster will protect against further bacterial infection.
